This is what I find so infuriating. I'm completely on board with the ideals of social justice. I'm probably a bit more pragmatic than some, but I bet on most "woke" issues I'd agree with their stated aims. But then in practice, the things they say and do are so far from anything that might lead to a better, more just world, and are so often contrary to that aim, that it amazes me more people can't see it.
It's not just theoretical, the harm trans activism is doing to perceptions of trans people is palpable, and is showing up in surveys of attitudes even amongst young, progressive people. Worse, it's spilling over onto the rest of the LGB community too.
