As I've written, the demand for lock-step compliance to the party checklists (both of them) from on high is the reason nothing gets done. If I found a genie in a bottle my first wish would be for the end of political parties to disconnect issues from irrational party linkage. The second would be to remove money (bribery by lobbyists) from politics.
