I really think a lot of modern social justice activism is totally disinterested in solving problems. The anger and virtue-signalling (largely about problems that the people doing the complaining aren't even affected by) site whole point.
And, of course, it's the fact that they're not affected that gives them the luxury of simply complaining and virtue-signalling.
